Garden

Go ahead and climb inside
Press your fingers into my chest.
Push into me,
Step through and find
I'm warm and soft and you can sit
on the Swing that hangs from my
branches;
my breeze in your hair
my voice below your bare feet
my grass brushing against your legs.
And once you have touched my bark,
And took a long rest,
You can go.
And I'll stand there in myself
On that hill
With the little things you left in me.
The trellis you built for me to wrap around,
The old sweather you hung from my arms.
And the kudzu,
And the baby's breath,
And the bluets,
Will grow in my sun and my shade.
And whoever visits next,
Will find a different garden waiting.

Every day's a miracle

I like her like a buzzard
likes a corpse.
We could fester, sickly sweet,
smell us from the porch.
Chew at all my bits in peace
Til we've run our course.

From up on top my mountain
I can see where we once ate,
I think I'm meant for loving
It's why my beak's this shape.

Every day's a miracle, I savor
every drop,
& one day when I die
I'll love each fly & worm & hawk

Isn't it lucky to get hit by a raindrop?

My tears are unpredictable
Dionysus & Ampelos
I ache to love
out of my seams
supine, reaching above my
Placid form
groping at solitude

My colors soak into yours.
I blink and see your hands in place of mine
wondering
Where I began
as I pull away
I am not the shape I once was
And yet,
And yet.

revelling in mortality
So desperate to be seen
LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME!!
a mosquito larvae doesnt know the
difference.

Note in my phone from years ago,
"I'll spend the rest of my life preparing for tomorrow"
I dont remember why.
my love like rain
spliting the sky.

The sunset always
looks prettiest from the parking lot.

Maybe I'll leave the wipers on.
Looking upward at myself,
I'll blanket the countryside
stretching breathless,
caressing every leaf.
Can you hear me?
Can you hear me

tapping gently on the window

CAN YOU HEAR ME?
I wake up and its still.
today

Spoiled Sweet

DING! The Job is Done.
You're all grown up,
The meal is hot and cooked and now
You're the one
Who snaps and pops
And lost in looks,
You wonder where you started
From, the fridge, the stove
The bowl, the farm,
It's a wonder you're where are
You are, and smell
The steam, the smoke, the charm.
You're finished now,
They've left you out!
To cool perhaps? Aloof. Intact.
You pay no mind as mist makes way
For spores and slime;
A comfort meal in comfort home
Is stilling past its comfort time.
You make a wish you
wonder why, Prepare a dish
to let it rot?
You see your pan, your spoon,
Your pot, your crime
Unknown, you start to Spot
with blues and whites, your
Vision fogs, AND YET!
You glimpse from far above:
A being made of perfect love;
An angel sure, a darling dear,
A rescuer from all you fear
Who'll taste and savour
every bite, Who'll sip you
Up and make things right,
Regardless of your spots and grime
they cherish you like rarest wine.

Your goal complete, happy to die,
So grateful for
that hungry fly.
